Chris Brown and Rihanna are looking to have the court-ordered protection order that was banning them from contacting one another to be removed. Why? Because they want to work on their friendship. The former couple consider the court-order to be "unnecessary". They have ALREADY broken the order by patching things up over the phone. A source that is close to Chris and Rihanna reported:

"They think it's unnecessary and ridiculous. After the court proceeding, Ri & Chris talked on the phone for almost an hour and really worked at becoming friends. They're solid now. They aren't interested in reviving their romance. That's 100 percent done. They aren't looking to hook back up again. They're both moving on and going their separate ways."

I'm honestly happy that they can at least remain friends without thinking about being together. Fact of the matter, they shouldn't be together.
